Rothamsted light trap

Time-switch control to permit selected period automatic sampling. Samples are retained in a quickly detachable killing bottle. Cut-away top plate to allow higher angle of light (ref. C B Williams, Phil. Trans. R. Soc. Lond., no.7B, vol. 244, pp 331-378, Nov 1961) can be provided on request.

Construction and Equipment Details

The trap is constructed with or without stand from materials which are suitably finished to withstand adverse weather conditions.
Light traps of the Rothamsted design are supplied in individual parts for erection on site by the customer.
All electrical connections are waterproofed and an optional timer switch is available which can easily be adjusted for the length of day or night.
The light is maintained by a tungsten filament lamp and is readily removable for replacement.
